The legendary Polish winged hussars became a symbol of courage, honour and unbreakable strength. Their riders, with the famous wings rising behind them, inspired contemporaries for centuries and entered history as one of Europe’s most celebrated cavalries.
The Story
The "Wings of the Hussars" brooch is a handmade reading of that history, woven from Japanese seed beads. In the centre sits a large red Bohemian glass crystal: a mark of the heart, of bravery, and of loyalty to the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. A crown finishes the piece and points back to the old Commonwealth.
